Summary:
LEAD Technical is currently looking for a Steel Cutter for our manufacturing client in the Melbourne area. In this role, you will be setting up and operating a saw to cut steel to specification for use in manufacturing. This is a CONTRACT-TO-HIRE role that is available immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a saw to cut steel components to size.
- Loading, unloading, racking, transporting steel into and out of the department.
- Working with other team members to ensure work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area; and following applicable safety guidelines.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Machine shop experience highly preferred.
- Comfort operating industrial saw.
- Experience cutting steel to spec preferred.
- Experience dealing with metal (machining, cutting, etc.).
