The Designer reports to the Design Supervisor, and is located in Bedford Park, IL.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Designer is responsible for commercial kitchen technical drawings (MEPs). Working closely with senior designers on MEPs for design/build projects, as well as awarded BID jobs from the estimating department. Will work closely with the Design Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collaborate on multiple commercial kitchen projects, focusing on technical drawings
· Researching manufacturer specs, shop drawings, and details to fine tune the MEPs
· Meet/coordinate with Senior Designers on their design/build projects
· Resolve drawing issues
· Attend MEP design reviews and meetings with Senior Designer
· Perform other related duties as required and assigned

· Interpersonal skills leading to effective communication and interaction
· Possess conceptual and strategic thinking skills
· Must have technical and design skills
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
· Experience in Architecture, Industrial Design, or related field
· 1-2 years’ experience in a professional design environment/department
· Food service design experience preferred
· Advanced computer skills including AutoCad, Revit, Adobe Suite, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
· Ability to successfully pass a background check
