Job Title: Technical Program Manager
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Scope of Services:
- Understand the business environment to make informed decisions and drive results.
- Define program goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
- Develop project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgeting.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure program and project delivery on time and within budget.
- Manage risks, resolve issues, and implement mitigation strategies when necessary.
- Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to meet program objectives.
- Ensure compliance with program management processes and standards.
- Provide daily support for ongoing processes and offer improvements where needed.
- Provide technical support for the agency’s evolving work demands.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience in collecting, analyzing, and reporting key data.
- Program evaluation experience, including evidence-based practices and outcome measurement.
- Familiarity with Louisiana’s governmental, business, and community landscape.
- Ability to work regularly from Baton Rouge, LA.
Desirable Qualifications (Optional):
- Master’s degree in business, mass communication, or related fields.
- Expertise in clean energy resilience, utility-owned electric grids, or reduced-carbon energy systems.
- Experience with federal programs at all levels, and/or the private sector.
- Experience representing government officials in public forums.
- Knowledge of the energy sector and its stakeholders.
- Experience developing and implementing large-scale public initiatives.
- Experience working across state agencies to align strategic priorities.
- Understanding of regulatory and statutory compliance for federal programs.
- Experience communicating on behalf of government officials or civil servants.
- Knowledge of state-level grant administration.
- Experience developing partnerships with community groups, non-profits, and government agencies.
