Visual Designer
Jacksonville, FL – 100% Remote
Do you enjoy working in a remote setting? ARC Group is actively seeking a Visual Designer to join the User Experience team of our Fortune 500 client based in Jacksonville, Florida. This position offers a minimum one-year contract, with potential for extension or a permanent role as a Full-Time Employee (FTE).
In this role, you will be responsible for crafting compelling, on-brand, and accessible digital experiences for our clients. Your primary tasks will include translating business requirements, user needs, and technical capabilities into visually engaging designs that align with the brand pattern library.
It's important to note that ARC Group will not consider candidates represented by C2C recruiters (bench recruiters) or those requiring sponsorship, either presently or in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate actively during product ideation and conceptual development with a diverse, cross-functional team comprising designers, researchers, developers, and product managers.
- Generate polished, production-ready designs using Figma for a seamless development handoff. Ensure clear communication of product function by adapting designs across various device viewports, maintaining consistent brand and pattern library usage, and delivering functional high-fidelity prototypes.
- Develop comprehensive design specifications for developers, capturing essential project scenarios to facilitate smooth implementation.
- Effectively convey design ideas and rationale through articulate verbal communication and compelling visual presentations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in graphics design, interaction design, fine arts, or a related design discipline.
- 3 or more years of hands-on experience in visual design.
- Strong foundational skills in design principles, layout, color theory, and typography.
- Proficient in utilizing Figma and Adobe Creative Suite tools.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, including effective task prioritization, transparent progress communication, and consistently meeting deadlines across various projects.
- Familiarity with SAFe Agile or another scrum/sprint workflow.
- Demonstrated experience in designing for Accessibility/WCAG standards.
- Knowledgeable about the capabilities and limitations of Native app and web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
