The Second Shift Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Warehouse Manager, and is located in Lewisville, TX.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Second Shift Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Shipping/Receiving function.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads and order cutoff times
- Manage picking, receiving and shipping activity for line haul and local supply deliveries for the first shift
- Work with Inventory Control to keep inventory counts
- Collaborate with Warehouse employees and other department managers to solve work-related problems
- Daily review and approval of employee time sheets
- Prepare and maintain pick and shipping documents according to procedure
- Conduct routine safety talks with Warehouse team members to improve and reinforce the safety aspect of warehouse operations to minimize accidents and lost work time
- Foster positive relations and communications, and conduct oneself in a professional manner with freight carriers, vendors, co-workers, other departmental staff in Warehouse, Sales, and Purchasing and Management.
- Taking proper care of all company issued tools and equipment
- Attend required safety and product training
- Adhere to all company safety standards and protocols
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Committed to growth in understanding of foodservice industry
- Other duties as assigned
COMPETENCIES:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular and frequent basis
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Windows applications
- Advanced working knowledge of WMS applications.
- Advanced working knowledge of UPS and Fedex programs & third party freight providers
- Capable of using a lift truck to load and unload large pieces of equipment
- Able to work independently and be self-motivated to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- HS Diploma/GED
- Forklift certification preferred
- Associate’s Degree or Some college preferred
- 5+ years warehouse experience
- 2 years Warehouse Supervisor experience
- 1 year using MS Office Suite
- Experience working in a shipping, receiving, or inventory control environment preferred
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
