Senior Human Resources Business Partner

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner reports to the VP of Human Resources & Talent Development who partners with business units to support organizational human capital strategies and to facilitate achievement of business plans and objectives. Works with HR Center of Excellence to align with the overall people strategy for the business. The HRBP also serves as a consultant partner in the execution of COE programs as well as identification of opportunities to promote successful business outcomes. Provides feedback to COE departments to identify, evaluate, and improve HR programs. Keeps business clients informed of HR initiatives. Ideally seeking a candidate with Design and/or Build experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures functional leaders motivate and implement employee engagement initiatives across their workforce. Provide HR tools and guidance to managers to supervise employees effectively, equitably, and within the law.
- Monitors turnover rates and identifies related issues. Assists with developing retention action plans, with a focus on key talent, by working with functional management and appropriate HR Centers of Excellence (C.O.E.). Incorporates approved action plans and analyzes results.
- Engage with functional groups to align talent to critical and key roles to meet functional and corporate objectives. Drives succession planning reviews for strategic and critical positions to assure talent depth. Leads career path development planning with functional groups (rotations, development and training) for key talent. Facilitates effective communication between C.O.E. and functional groups to provide visibility to upcoming HR initiatives and employee issues.
- Counsel Managers on performance management and practices to maintain a positive and productive working environment. Meet with individual managers to mediate specific occurrences and ongoing employee issues. Approves documentation relating to Performance Improvement Plans process and maintains close counsel with related managers. Actively engages and participates in planning with all levels of client groups to develop trust and credibility.
- Understands functional strategic plans and initiatives to provide value added recommendations for human capital organization planning to function leadership. Participates in functional structure reorganizations and job redesign.
- Manages and balances multiple demands and priorities to achieve optimal results. Maintains a positive outlook and stays motivated to team and clients, able to generate innovative and creative solutions and alternatives even under resource constraints, demonstrates perseverance in achieving objectives despite obstacles.
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong Experience in all facets of HR. Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and ability to work with within a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
- Ability to manage projects and daily functions with discretion and minimal supervision.
- Position requires strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated experience with recruiting, employee relations, sound knowledge of employment law.
- Exposure to Talent Management and Compensation concepts.
- Strategic Planning, Succession Planning, Change Management, Organizational Development, Coaching, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Motivating, Influence, Trust, Transparent, Adaptability, Talent Management, Leadership and Vision, Global Mindset. Problems faced by this position are diverse and challenging and generally deal with human capital management issues and require creativity/analysis, research, knowledge and an ability to organize to select possible solutions which could set precedents.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Six or more years of directly related professional level Human Resources experience or Functional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
